Seattle City Club: CIvic Cocktail

Information from seattlecityclub.org

Presented in partnership with Seattle Channel

After one of the most important City Council elections in Seattle history – a battle for the soul of our rapidly changing city – Civic Cocktail analyzes election results from the night before with two people smack in the middle of the political action: Marilyn Strickland, President and CEO of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce whose PAC has supported business candidates, and Heather Weiner, long-time union political consultant who has worked with labor candidates this election season.

And that's not all. In our second segment, we dive deep into who we are as a city and how voter and resident demographics shape us today. We’re joined by The Seattle Times “FYI Guy” Gene Balk and longtime statewide pollster Stuart Elway, who may bring a little thaw to the Seattle freeze. Join us. It's warm inside.

Civic Cocktail offers a lively look at important issues facing the Puget Sound region and connects community leaders with residents in engaging conversation. The program’s conversational format features elected officials, community leaders, journalists, political pundits, and news-makers. Limited tickets available at the door; doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets at the door are $30.
