Please join the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) Evergreen Chapter in Olympia on Saturday, October 14, at 10:30am for a historical botanical tour of the Washington State West Capitol Campus. This is a great opportunity to both meet your fellow ASPA Evergreen Chapter members and learn a bit about Washington State history!

About the Tour
Participants will learn about the Olmsted Brothers' original vision for the Washington State Capitol’s West Capitol Campus, how a historic landscape is managed, and the campus’ unique trees.
The tour starts promptly at 10:30 am at the Flag Circle by the Capitol Steps.
About our Host
Brent Chapman is the horticulturalist for the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services, where he is responsible for the Capitol Campus’ plant collections. He has a Ph.D. in environmental horticulture and spent most of his career training future horticulturists and landscape managers. One of the highlights of his current position is being able to share the history of the Capitol Campus plants as well as insights on how they are managed to ensure public safety and enjoyment.
